2024 was another significant year for sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) directives, with organisations evolving their approach in response to developments, opportunities and a changing regulatory landscape.

The M+A Partners’ ESG Committee continued to focus on how we can prioritise and develop our sustainability strategy, while proactively finding ways to positively impact our local communities and workplace culture.

Our team came together to participate in several Volunteer Days across the year, in addition to seasonal and themed initiatives that enabled us to come together to support organisations and charities. Some of the events we were involved with included the East Anglian Air Ambulance Trade Up Challenge; Norfolk & Waveney Mind Do Blue Day; Children In Need; and Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.

We also look for ways to give back to those in need through donating to foodbanks and other organisations such as the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. The team enjoy a spot of competition so embraced the opportunity to take part in fundraisers such as golf days, treasure hunts, and sponsored coastal walks.

Through a combination of sponsorship and fundraising, we are delighted to have raised over £18,000 for charities, groups and organisations within our region in 2024. Throughout the coming year we will continue the journey to embed our ESG values and objectives across the firm, increasing the scope of our Volunteer Days and building more connections within our team and the wider community.

Phil Webster, Chief Operating Officer said: “We are totally committed to incorporating our ESG principles throughout the firm, embedding sustainability into the way we operate. Our approach is shaped by our values, including conducting ourselves morally and ethically as a team and as individuals.

We foster inclusion and collaboration and our Volunteer Days exemplify how successfully our team works together. Taking part in sponsored walks, gardening, DIY, and helping out at the zoo – our team have committed to supporting each other and the communities we operate within. I am proud of our achievements to date and look forward to 2025 and the opportunities it brings for supporting each other and our society.”
