On 26th March, a team of 10 from M+A Partners stepped away from their desks and headed to Whitlingham Lake for their latest Volunteer Day, spending the day supporting the upkeep and enhancement of this much-loved local green space.
Set within the beautiful surroundings of Whitlingham Country Park, the team were quick to get stuck in, taking on a variety of practical outdoor tasks. Activities included litter picking around the lake, planting shrubs to support local biodiversity, and tree planting to help maintain and improve the natural landscape for future visitors.
The hands-on nature of the day provided a great opportunity to contribute directly to the local environment, while also offering a refreshing change of pace from day-to-day office life. Working together outdoors, the team were able to catch up, collaborate in a different setting, and enjoy the benefits of being out in nature.
As well as making a visible difference to the park, the day reinforced M+A Partners’ ongoing commitment to supporting the local community and environment through its volunteering initiatives.
Robert Wild-Breeze, Tax Manager at M+A Partners, commented: “Getting involved in a day like this is incredibly rewarding. It was great to be outside, doing something practical that will have a lasting impact on the local area. It’s also a brilliant way to spend time together as a team away from the office – everyone got involved and there was a real sense of achievement by the end of the day.”
M+A Partners are proud to support local environmental projects such as this and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact through future Volunteer Days.
