Breckland Council has announced a new £100,000 funding initiative aimed at supporting projects that enhance towns across the district and respond to local community needs.

The scheme, known as Pride in Breckland, was approved as part of the Council’s February budget and will see funding distributed to five town councils: Dereham, Swaffham, Watton, Thetford and Attleborough. Each council will allocate its share to projects that benefit their local area.

Funding may be used for a range of initiatives, including improvements to public spaces, cultural and heritage projects, and environmental schemes such as tree planting or community clean-ups.

While this funding is not directly aimed at businesses, it may still be relevant for those business owners with connections to the community and community initiatives.
