Norfolk County Council has launched a new campaign providing practical support for pubs, restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality businesses across the county. The £250,000 initiative is part of a wider £1 million package designed to strengthen high streets and local economies.

Building on the success of the High Streets Matter programme – which engaged over 1,000 retailers and high street stakeholders through its Retail Excellence Programme –  this campaign offers hospitality businesses opportunities to develop skills, grow their customer base, and improve operations.

Participating businesses can take part in a training course and may be eligible for a business improvement grant of up to £1,000. Workshops, available both in-person and online, cover topics ranging from marketing and booking systems to menu design and seasonal staffing. The first cohort runs from May to June, with a second cohort scheduled for September to October.

24 businesses will be invited to join a High Growth Programme to accelerate their success, with additional support including a business growth grant of up to £2,500.
