The Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) will be extended, with applications opening in August for a second and final grant.
- This second grant will operate in the same way as the first, with the grant paid out in a single instalment; and
- The grant will cover three months’ worth of average monthly profits.
The scheme enables self-employed individuals, or a member of a partnership, to claim a taxable grant worth:
- 70% of average monthly trading profits;
- Up to a maximum lump sum of £6,570.
