Clare joined M+A Partners as Director of Personal Taxation and Private Client Services in 2008, having trained as an accountant with another firm. She specialised in private client work in 2001 and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2005, taking the top spot in East Anglia.

Clare’s areas of specialism include all aspects of income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax, with a particular focus on complex tax planning, high-net wealth individuals, and tax planning using trusts. She is well known in Norwich for her client-focused approach to tax planning and her ability to provide effective solutions to minimise personal tax liabilities.

Clare says “Having trained as an accountant before specialising in tax helps me to provide a commercial approach to the constantly changing challenges that face our clients when planning their tax affairs”.

Clare is a member of the committee for the local branch of the Chartered Institute of Tax.

Robert joined M+A Partners in 2013, having graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a degree in Mathematics.

He qualified as a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians in 2016 and completed his Chartered Tax Adviser qualification in 2019.

Robert has a mixed portfolio of clients, including individuals, partnerships, companies and academies.

Amy joined M+A Partners as a graduate trainee in 2016 after completing a Master of Mathematics degree at the University of East Anglia (UEA).

Working in the Private Client Tax Team, she has a growing portfolio of personal tax clients and deals with all aspects of trusts, as well as estates and inheritance tax. Amy also deals with pension annual allowance tax charges for NHS consultants.

Amy qualified as a member of the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) in 2019, the Chartered Institute of Tax (CIOT) in 2020 and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 2021. Whilst completing the STEP qualification, she received a STEP Excellence Award for the highest mark in the Advanced Certificate in Trust and Estate Accounting.

Andrew joined M+A Partners in 2016. He previously worked at HM Revenue & Customs as a Tax Inspector carrying out enquiries into income tax and company tax returns.

He qualified as a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians in 2018 and completed his Chartered Tax Adviser qualification in 2021.

Andrew deals with the tax affairs of a range of clients including individuals, sole traders, partnerships and companies.
