I have been working in Accountancy for 18 years, with my first role being as an Accounts Assistant when I left school. My Mum is a bookkeeper and I have fond memories of helping her with my Dad’s accounts during the summer holidays – I think this helped to inspire my choice of career.
I joined the M+A Partners Attleborough team in May 2023. As an Accounts and Tax Assistant I am fortunate to have a really varied role and to be able to assist clients across several areas. I am involved in the accountancy production for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships – I also complete self-assessment tax returns.
We have a great team at the Attleborough office and I enjoy all aspects of my work and the opportunities I have to broaden my knowledge. I find it particularly interesting working on the annual accounts for limited companies.
Here’s a little insight into some of the things I enjoy doing when I’m not working
1.) I enjoy gardening and this Spring I set up my first vegetable patch which I have been looking after over the Summer. Along with my children, we have grown potatoes, carrots, parsnips, beetroot and pumpkins to name a few.
It’s a really great feeling eating produce grown from my own garden. If only my children felt the same!
2.) I enjoy yoga and have been perfecting my headstand, thankfully for my colleagues at the Attleborough office, I only practice this at home.
3.) I love spending time with my family and days spent at the beach are always a firm favourite. We are all looking forward to a family holiday in Menorca where the beaches are beautiful.
