Alice joined M+A Partners as a graduate trainee in July 2010 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013. She is a member of our Audit team, with a particular interest in not-for-profit organisations.

Alice holds the Diploma in Charity Accounting awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, having demonstrated her experience of advising charity and not-for-profit organisations on technical and strategic issues. She also obtained the Financial Reporting for Academies qualification from The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accounting in April 2013.

Alice is Chair of Trustees for a local charity based in Wymondham and is a leading member of the Academies User Group, a forum facilitated by Norfolk County Council working to assist and advise academies.

Alistair became a partner in M+A Partners in 1994, having joined the firm in 1985 and is one of the driving forces behind the expansion of the group.

Alistair believes that today's businesses should be open to a range of growth opportunities. "Mergers, acquisitions and diversification may seem risky for a business, but with the proper investigation and analysis, it should be possible to minimise the risk and reap the rewards."

Alistair is a Trustee of the Norfolk Millenium Trust for Carers.

Chris has been with M+A Partners since 1992, becoming a partner in 1994. He trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Moore Stephens in London, winning a national prize for his results in the professional examinations.

Chris is proud of the way the firm has managed to move with the times without losing its focus on a partner-led, professional service. "My partners and I have regular face-to-face meeting with our clients and we invite them to give us a call if they have any concerns between meetings. Clare joined M+A Partners as Director of Personal Taxation and Private Client Services in 2008, having trained as an accountant with another firm. She specialised in private client work in 2001 and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2005, taking the top spot in East Anglia.

Clare’s areas of specialism include all aspects of income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax, with a particular focus on complex tax planning, high-net wealth individuals, and tax planning using trusts. She is well known in Norwich for her client-focused approach to tax planning and her ability to provide effective solutions to minimise personal tax liabilities.

Clare says “Having trained as an accountant before specialising in tax helps me to provide a commercial approach to the constantly changing challenges that face our clients when planning their tax affairs”.

Emma joined M+A Partners as a Private Client Tax Manager in 2017, having previously worked for a large national accountancy firm, with a focus on private client tax work.

Emma is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, as well as a committee member for the East Anglian branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Emma has helped to enhance the firm's growing probate and estates specialism, managing the complex tax affairs of individuals, trusts and estates, as well as running tax planning and advisory projects.

Frank joined M+A Partners at the beginning of March 2008 having previously been an Audit Manager at PKF in Norfolk and Moore Stephens in Jersey.

Frank has over 20 years' experience of managing audits across a wide range of sectors and advising clients on technical financial reporting issues. “Whilst ensuring all compliance issues are addressed, we invest in getting to understand our clients to deliver advice that is practical and relevant to them.”

Frank has an ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting and considerable experience of advising not-for-profit organisations on technical and strategic issues. He has managed the audits of entities in the education sector, including Academies, and advised schools on their internal controls and procedures.

Frank is also a primary school governor and a trustee of the charity Break.

Ian trained as a Chartered Accountant in Norfolk, qualifying in 1996. Following 12 years' working in practice, Ian worked within industry as a Financial Controller, before setting up his own accountancy firm in 2005.

After acquiring another practice in Cromer in 2006, Ian joined M+A Partners in 2010, running M+A Partners (North Norfolk) Ltd -  a joint venture, co-owned with M+A Partners.

The joint venture ended in April 2018 when Ian became a Partner in M+A Partners.

Ian has extensive experience as a general practice accountant, dealing with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies - providing accountancy and taxation advice.

Isobelle joined M+A Partners in May 2011 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2014. She is responsible for overseeing the running of the accounts team and was made Partner of the firm in April 2024.

She spent the earlier years of her career in both the Audit and Corporate Finance departments, working closely with medium and large-sized companies; assisting them with various assignments such as due diligence, acquisitions and company sales, management buy-outs and management buy-ins, and the preparation of business plans and financial projections.

Isobelle now manages a portfolio of non-corporate (sole traders and partnerships) and corporate clients, covering a wide range of industries with a particular focus on agriculture.

Isobelle is a Governor of Town Close School.

Mary-Anne joined M+A Partners in 2003 and was made a Partner in the firm in 2006. Mary-Anne and her team are based in our Attleborough office and provide professional accountancy and tax advice for a wide range of clients, from brand new start-ups to well-established family and owner-managed businesses and from private individuals to sole traders, partnerships and corporate clients.

Mary-Anne is a Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant and was placed top in the UK when she undertook her Chartered Institute of Tax exams. She is committed to building lasting relationships with clients, based on gaining a clear understanding of their current and future business needs and taxation issues.

With over 20 years’ experience within the profession, Mary-Anne has the knowledge and experience to provide a portfolio of accountancy and taxation services that support the establishment and ongoing development of a business. Working closely with clients to understand their immediate and long-term requirements, she gives knowledgeable advice that caters to each unique set of circumstances.

Scott is a Chartered Accountant, with prior experience of working within industry as a Finance Director and as an Investment Executive in private equity. Scott became a Partner at M+A in January 2017.

Scott has successfully completed corporate finance mandates covering a number of disciplines, including: acquisitions and company sales; management buy-outs; raising private equity and bank debt; preparation of business plans and financial projections; and due diligence.

He has worked with a broad range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large groups and his areas of specialism include leisure, business services, and property.

Scott draws upon his previous experience as a Finance Director in order to understand his client’s needs and provide specialist-tailored advice. His clients find reassurance in the fact that he has practical experience in post-acquisition business integration and change management.
